There are many advantages in using a split air conditioner. It’s the best thing to install, when you are in need of space. They work more quietly and are also more energy efficient since they do not need the use of any ducts. You would have to have a small hole drilled into the wall for installation purposes. Split air conditioners come with cooling power enough to give you the kind of cooling your require.

You can find all such advantages in using an LG Split air conditioner and much more. Lets’ take a look at a couple of LG split air conditioner models.
One interesting LG spit air conditioner model is the LG LMU240HE. SEER is the rating given to denote energy efficiency of a split air conditioners and the higher the rating the better the air conditioner’s performance. In terms of noise, this is a system that does not produce much noise while running. Their computer controlled vanes allow for more natural flow of air and it can be operated via remote control.

Another good LG Split air conditioner model is the LG 11,500 BTU Ductless Single Zone Mini-Split Air Conditioner. If you look at the LG RTLMU240CE, this LG split air conditioner model has an 18,000 BTU. This is a very compact model, that works quietly and where energy consumption is just right. It includes a triple filter air system, by which air coming inside to the room is made really clean, and this air is circulated around well through the area through the Chaos Swing feature.

Yet another model is the LG LMU240HE. It has 18,000 BTU and includes features such as Chaos Swing, Ultra-Quiet Streamlined Air Fan, Triple-filter air purifying system and Dehumidifying Mode because of which you can get the best results in terms of clean air and cooling when you use it.

The LS122HE is one of the most élite wall-mounted heating and cooling systems. This system is ductless which is to be highly considered for those homes that currently are using window air conditioning units. It also features a remote control which makes adjusting the heat effortless. The unit supplies 11,500 BTU of heating and air conditioning capabilities which is about perfect for a space of about 400 sq ft depending on other factors.

It’s great for those with breathing problems as this system also features a plasma air purifying system. This is one of the few wall mounted units where this is a standard feature. The LS122HE is also cost-effective for those living on fixed incomes. This wall mounted unit has the best energy star rating in the industry.
This product is very easy to use once it’s installed. The installation does require a professional as there are a few lines that need to be ran for this product. Anyone who choose to pay for this system should call a few installation companies in their city to see how much installation is going to cost. This might be a point where air units win out for those living in rental properties.

The maintenance, such as simple cleaning, is no different from that of other air conditioning units. Once a person decides to invest in this system there is a lot more to it than that of in window units. If something fails you will need to contact a HVAC professional. Parts for this system may become more scarce as these units are later phased out. This will mean that if a simple part fails you may have to pay for a completely new system and installation all over again.

When everything is installed professionally this product does perform well above its expectations. It doesn’t cost that much to run on a daily basis. The LS122HE is also one of them quietest lines of wall mounted units. All in all it does exactly what it’s supposed to do when it’s supposed to do it with no fuss.

The pro’s of this system are mainly its energy-saving features. If you are trying to cut back on gas heating bills then this might be an option for you. The con’s are almost overwhelming as it requires professional installation, can only be used in owned properties, availability of future parts , and the fact that these units can sometimes run as much in installation and equipment cost as just adding to your duct work.

Sanyo uses the environmentally friendly R-410a refrigerant as well as a DC Inverter. Some of the key features for the Sanyo 36UHW72R 31,200 BTU Single Zone Mini-Split Concealed Duct Heat Pump and Air Conditioner are the microprocessor controlled operations, a wired remote control, dry mode, an automatic heating and cooling cooling changeover, 3 fan speeds, an electronic refrigerant control valve, timer, programmable clock, hot start heating system and a self diagnostic function. There are so many more features to this superb model though. The pricing of the model is about average at around $3900.00

While this terrific unit does come with an installation manual it is not recommended for a beginning home improvement enthusiast to try. While the refrigerant used is non-toxic it is not something you would want leaking into your home. This is definitely one of those times that you call in the old friends who know what they are doing and perhaps work with this type of unit in their professions or call in an expert to professional installation. In doing so you know that you will get the most out of your system for years to come.
The Sanyo Single Zone Mini-Split does adjust its performance to meet the changing needs of the space while maintaining the desired temperature. This leads to increased efficiencies, low energy consumption and a very comfortable environment. However, there are some drawbacks to this system. Drawback include the “dry” option not working if the temperature in the room is less than 59 degrees.

Ok, maybe not a big drawback but it is something to be aware of. Also, the fan is auto set to LO and cannot be changed during certain functions. During the heating cycle you do need to be aware that if the outside temperature drops too low then the unit will not be very efficient at heating and another heat source should be already in place for those times. On the plus side, this system will restore itself to the last settings should the power be shut off.

All in all, this is a great system for certain zones. If you live in certain states known for lots of snow and minus degree temperatures you may want to look into a different type of system but if you decide on this type of system you cannot go wrong with the Sanyo.

The LG LS093CE is available in two models:
- LG LSN093CE – This unit is indoor-mounted, measures 35-3/16″ x 10-5/8″ x 6-1/32″, weighs 15.4 pounds and comes with a remote control package.
- LG LSU093CE – This unit is outdoor-mounted, measures 30-5/16″ x 21-5/16″ x 9-5/8″, weighs 66.1 pounds and comes with an indoor cooling coil.

EASE OF USE – The LS093CE indoor unit is relatively easy to set up; the outdoor unit requires slightly more work connecting the unit to the indoor coil and charging the indoor coil. Also, the fact that the line needed to connect the outdoor unit to the indoor coil is not included is a bit of nuisance. The remote control for the indoor unit is very handy.

EASE OF MAINTENANCE – The indoor units needs little maintenance, while the outdoor unit requires a bit more work due to the extra fittings to connect to the indoor coil.

USEFULNESS – Both the indoor and outdoor units can adequately cool a large room on hot days. The outdoor unit, with a manual on/off switch, and no remote, provides less fine-tuning for indoor temperature control. The indoor unit runs at a very quiet noise level, while the outdoor unit is noticeably noisier.

PROS AND CONS – The pros of the LS093CE are the high cooling ability, and, for the indoor units, the quietness and ease of operation.

The cons of the LS093CE apply to the outdoor units — they’re much nosier and much heavier, require more setup and maintenance, and do not allow easy fine-tuning of cooling levels.

The Fujitsu 9RLS ductless wall air conditioning and heating unit is an energy-efficient, 3/4 ton, mini split environmental control system. The system contains an outdoor unit with a compressor and heat pump and an indoor unit that controls air distribution and environmental controls. A remote is included that controls all features and the unit can also be controlled from the front panel.

Two primary features make this unit excel over others: energy efficiency and quiet operation. The Fujitsu 9RLS has a whopping SEER value of 26, which makes it one of the most energy-efficient units in its class. It obviously received an Energy Star rating. Both the indoor and outdoor units operate efficient DC motors that consume less power than that of other manufacturers.

Operational decibels (dB) for the indoor unit are 42, 37, 30, and 22 for High, Medium, Low, and Quiet levels, respectively. These are very low dB levels. Most of the lower operating levels will result in the unit being virtually silent to most consumers.

<!--
google_ad_client = "ca-pub-7963428112841845";

The 9RLS utilizes an inverter technology that enhances the unit’s efficiency by adjusting the operation of the outdoor unit to match the needs of the indoor unit. This results in an increase in efficiency of up to 30%. When the system is reaching its target temperature, the motor is placed in a slower operational mode.

The BTU ratings for this unit are 3,600 BTU/h to 12,000 BTU/h for cooling and 3,000 BTU/h to 22,000 BTU/h for heating. The unit uses R-410A refrigerant as long as the cooling run to the condenser is less than 50ft. Anything longer and additional refrigerant is recommended.

As with most ductless wall units, air filtration is provided. This particular unit features an Apple-Catechin filter that uses static electricity to catch dust, microorganisms, mold spores, and other allergens. Fujitsu claims mold growth is inhibited by the polyphenol contained in the apple ingredients. An ionic filtration system deodorizes the air during the filtration process.

Additional features built into the 9RLS include a sleep timer, humidity control, a four-way automatic louver system, auto settings (including auto restart and reset), and a condenser defrost mode.

Overall, the Fujitsu 9RLS is an outstanding unit that sells for about $1,500. The energy efficiency is excellent and it’s a quiet performer. Backed by a two-year warranty on parts and six-year warranty on the compressor, this unit should rank high on many consumer’s’ wish lists.

The LG LS122CE Single Zone Mini-Split is a ductless air-conditioner system, it’s an all-rounder in-terms of specifications, and it cools the room with as little clutter as possible. Judging by the specifications, I think this air-conditioner will cool a room up-to 650 or 700 square feet in size. The unit is reasonably quiet, shouldn’t set you back more than $1000, and of course, it features a ductless design, so it won’t clutter up your room.

For starters, I don’t recommend installing the product without supervision or a third-party, because it’s a complicated procedure, especially when it comes to setting up the line set correctly. Once installed, the LG LS122CE doesn’t take much to figure out.

The indoor unit comes with a remote control, with batteries included. There are four fan speeds to choose from, including the humorously titled ‘Chaos’ setting. The unit has a temperature display inlet, and the thermostat goes all the way down to 64 Fahrenheit. I haven’t set it down that far yet because I don’t need to. However, I think that this unit could handle those temperatures, considering that this unit is almost 12,000 BTUs. Besides the extra payment associated with third-party installation, I think the unit is easy to get going and use.

The LG LS122CE is also easy to maintain. It features a ductless design, so it’s extremely discreet. There are only three real parts to the installation, an indoor wall-mounted unit, exterior unit, and a simple supply line set connecting the two units. If it does break, I hope it will be easy to troubleshoot and fix, because of its simplicity.

Everything is set and the unit is working for the first time. However, you might wonder whether it will continue to deliver. So far, I think that this air-conditioner does what it advertises. It’s energy efficient, quiet, clutter-free, and comparatively cheaper to install because of the lack of ducts. However, as with everything there are some cons to the LG LS122CE because it is a wall based unit.

Although I have no objections with the installation, keep in mind the installation will leave your walls irreversibly altered to some extent. The placement is compact, but it is more or less permanent, unlike portable window air-conditioners. You will not be able to take this unit out for the winter.

All said, however, the LG LS122CE does keep the room very silent even when not in use. In many portable window units, you lose room ambience because of their pads and brackets, and that isn’t a problem with this air-conditioner.

The Mitsubishi MS-A12WA Mr. Slim is a mini split-ductless air conditioning system that is comprised of three main components: An outdoor component, and indoor component, and a remote control unit. It uses inverter technology for improved performance over standard compressor air conditioners. It also includes anti-allergen filters with enzyme catalysts and catechin bioflavonoid-infused fibers. It has three air-flow settings: Low-ambient cooling, wide airflow, and powerful mode for a 15-minute burst of fast-cooling. Other features include an economy cooling mode, digital thermostat, and self-diagnostics, and auto restart.

Ease-of-Use – The Mitsubishi MS-A12WA and all of the Mitsubishi Mr. Slim split air conditioning systems are not only very simple to operate, but they are also very simple to install. Contractors with experience installing all brands of air conditioners list the Mr. Slim units among the easiest to install on the market. They can be installed anywhere on the wall, but work best in locations near the ceiling. Operation is via a wireless remote control, but it also comes with an option for a wired, wall-mounted control. All functions, including timer settings, are easily operated from the remote.
Maintenance – This Mr. Slim air conditioner is very easy to maintain because it is a ductless system. The outside unit is sturdy and weather-resistant. The inverter compressor it uses is also easier on the system than standard compressors because it doesn’t have a sudden shutdown and kick-on. When standard compressors kick on, it is abrupt, drains a lot of initial power, and rattles the entire unit. With the Mr. Slim, the compressor speeds up gradually and slows down before starting and stopping.

Dependability – There are very few people who ever claim to have a problem with this air conditioner. The only complaint is about the price, which is actually very reasonable for what it is. The price range falls between a window air conditioner and a small central cooling unit. The reason there are so few complaints about the MS-A12WA is that it works exactly as promised. In fact, most people are skeptical when they first see it, but after experiencing its operation, they are so surprised because their expectations are exceeded.

Pros
• Easy to install
• Requires only a 3 to 4-inch hole in the wall instead of a full duct
• Quiet operation
• Remote control
• Adjustable placement

Cons
• More costly than a window air conditioner

The Samsung Classic Series has earned its strong reputation because it’s efficient, easy to use and simple to install. The 36K BTU mini split AQV36JA heating and cooling unit lives up to that standard for the most part. It has a 9-38K cooling range, 9-45K heating range, an indoor noise level high of 53 dB, and power efficiency that is unsurpassed at this price level.

The mini split is relatively easy to use and it includes an advanced, compact remote control unit that makes it all very convenient. But there is a learning curve here. This Samsung AQV36JA is a feature-rich model including a sophisticated thermostat, filtration, dehumidification, auto modes, turbo modes and so forth. It’s not all intuitive but once you get a handle on what’s what, it’s all rather simple.

In order to maintain air conditioning at peak operation, the manufacturer recommends that owners clean the dust filters every two weeks. If you live in an especially dusty environment, you may find that you need to clean these filters once every week. It’s one of the shortcomings of this type of unit, not just the AQV36JA. Cleaning the filters is easy; they snap out and then you can vacuum or brush them.

The AQV36JA also has a deodorizing cartridge and an optional bio filter cartridge. Owners should swap these out per the manufacturer recommendation. They’ll also want to clean them every three months and rotate their position. Cleaning involves soaking them in clean tap water and then allowing them to dry, preferably outdoors in the shade.

The Samsung mini split heat pump and air conditioner is a little pricy but it delivers on most of its promises. It’s nearly silent, it’s economical, it provides reliable temperature, it gets to that temperature fast and the Smart Inverter really does allow it to run less often than comparable units do. Although it includes features that make handling more convenient, it’s not quite as mobile as the marketing would have you believe. So this is something to consider if you plan to move the unit around.

Pros
•	It offers impressive efficiency of operation, noise and power usage.
•	Excellent features: remote, filtration, turbo mode, sleep mode and so forth.
•	The Smart Inverter delivers on Samsung’s promises.

Cons
•	You may require a wall bracket (not included) for the outdoor unit.
•	Filters can be expensive and require frequent cleaning for best operation.
•	The MSRP is a little high for the market segment.
