Maryann
Check the flare nut connections with soapy solution. The "tec" probably used the wrong flare nuts.
The units come with special ones to compensate the high pressure of R-410A

I had a fujitsu split ductless installed 5 years ago. It has not worked for the last 3 summers. The jerk who installed it is nowhere to be found. Every summer they put in new freon only to leak again by the next summer. I was told the leak is too costly to find and would be better off to buy a new unit. Maybe this jerk has more money than i do. I hav e called fujitsu for help to no avail, they could not care any less. I will never ever buy their product nor will i recommend it . Pissed off in Maspeth.

It makes you believe that engineers today are all on crack. I had three Fujitsu units and after one year they all started to pour water inside. The filters were always kept clean but it turns out that enough dust gets through to clog the drain and also turn the fan into a solid object. Service tech had to completely disassemble the unit before it could be cleaned ($800 each).

I can't believe that I'm the only one this has happened to. To make matters worse, I finally threw out the Fujitsus and replaced them with LG. These are not much better and beginning to have the same problem.

My question is this: just how hard would it to be to make the fan assembly accessible from the side where you could remove a few screws, unplug and slide the whole damned thing out to be cleaned? Don't these idiots know that this needs to be done on a regular basis?

Don't buy a Fujitsu, when a part breaks it takes the NJ head office 3 months to receive part from plant in China or Japan!!! Mine broke after only 2 years of use and I only have 3 months of heat a year.
I suggest a Mitsubishi, cheaper and much easier to repair.
