We recall back in the day when we enjoyed going to the local fair.
We would officially go together as a family and at times have our cousins tag along as well.
We would get popcorn, and crackerjacks with the cheap little prizes inside. Life was so chilled and slow back then when we were teenagers. We recall most of the time it would be tepid at the fair, but it was nice to relax in the shade of some of the tents. There were areas where you could watch farm animals like goats, sheep, cows and pigs. Some areas even had HVAC units and it was also nice to relax in those spots when we felt too hot. Mostly, after we were done at the fair, our mom would drive us to a local eatery. Mom purposely made sure to go to locales that served ice cream. She explained those locales always had the best HVAC system with the ideal temperature control settings to make sure the ice cream didn’t melt. We loved getting chilly treats after a long and tepid day enjoying the fairgrounds. Also, we would get a burger with fries and a shake if mom was willing to spend the currency. Occasionally mom would just ask just to have water because the shakes were kind of luxurious, but it depended on her mood if she was feeling generous or not. Still, those were great times that we will never forget. One day when we have youngsters, we want to take them to the fairgrounds as well so they can have cheerful childhood memories.
