The BTU
The BTU (British Thermal Unit) is the standard unit used to measure. The cooling capacity of an air conditioner depends on its tonnage. A one ton unit will usually have a cooling capacity of 12000 BTU while a 2 ton unit will have a capacity of 2400 BTU.

thank you for your nice website. I really learn from it. I am collecting some info on what would be the best split airconditioner for me as I live in a place where heat temperatures can get as high as 50 degrees celsius at summer times. Could you help me with that? some of the brands that are already available here are LG, Carrier, Trust, TCL, Hitachi, Toshiba, General Electric, Gree, O` General etc.
