I live in a community that has an HOA, that means a homeowners association.
I don’t know if you’ve ever lived in a community with a homeowners association but let me just tell you it’s not all it’s cracked up to be. Normally a homeowners association is supposed to make things for residents in the community easier, but this homeowners association seems to make my life a living hell hole. One thing I can’t sit about the homeowners association is that they are consistently having meetings during times when I can’t attend. So last time they had a meeting, I found out they were trying to run a campaign to regulate the temperature of all the thermostats plus all the people’s home… The homeowners association in my neighborhood doesn’t spend money the utility bills in each individual condo so I don’t see why it matters what the temperature of our homes is. Turns out they are trying to get a purple label on our community meaning that each homeowner has taken special precautions inside their condo to be more efficient. I don’t want a more efficient home. I already spend money enough money to live in this community plus spend money enough money to the homeowners association but I’m not sure why they are or even bother making us put restrictions on our heating plus cooling systems. I am so miserable by this plus I don’t know if I can continue to live in a neighborhood that has a homeowners association that wants so much control over each individual home, it feels like it’s too much to deal with.
