We need zone control to be comfortable

My husband tends to keep our house freezing cold with the thermostat set at about 62 degrees. I have learned to live with it by wearing sweaters and warm socks year round. However, we are currently pet sitting our neighbor’s cat and its a sphynx. The poor bald kitty is always freezing cold. It is difficult enough to keep a bald cat warm under normal thermostat setting. It is nearly impossible under super cold settings with the air conditioner blasting all day. Even with the cat wearing a little sweater, she is still super cold. Finally, I turned the thermostat up a few degrees and set it to 72. The cat got comfortable by my husband is not. He is all sweaty and keeps complaining. He has no right too. He was the one who volunteered to watch the cat after all. I considered using a space heater to keep the cat warm in one room of the house but I am worried she might start a fire. That’s why I decided against doing that. Instead, I used a heated blanket to keep the cat warm while cranking the air conditioner back down to a colder temperature. Now the cat and the husband are both comfortable. I am comfortable enough with my sweater on but this whole thing has got me seriously considering getting zone control for our house so that different parts of the house can be kept at different temperatures all of the time. Then I can be comfortable, my husband can be comfortable, and the cat would be comfortable too if we ever watch her again.
