Our study room has these bay windows that were installed before my associate and I bought the house.
It’s one of the aspects of the house that my associate and I fell in cherish with instantly.
The windows are just amazing. I cherish sitting at the study room table in the morning & watching the birds at the bird feeder, then periodically, I even see deer outside. It’s just so peaceful, especially since winter season started. I could watch the snow falling all afternoon long. The only problem is, these windows let in more than just outdoor beauty. They also let in freezing air. Our study room is always freezing freezing no matter how moderate the rest of the house is. It’s becoming unbearable, but we have contacted a heater company & they took a look at our Heating, Ventilation, & A/C system. They said there is nothing wrong with our heater though. As I suspected, it’s freezing because the glass has no insulation whatsoever. They recommended my associate and I get double paned glass to give us a little bit more protection from the outside chill. However, the heater company did have an option for us. They said my associate and I could get the zone control to keep the study room a bit warmer. I think they set up some kind of barrier system in the HVAC duct. The barriers closed off the heat to the rest of the house when they reach their thermostat settings. Meanwhile, the heater heats the study room. The whole house can remain comfortable this way. This looks like something my associate and I might be interested in having done. We would like to stay nice & comfortable & my associate and I legitimately do cherish this house. So my associate and I better take fantastic care of it.
