I truly want to take better care of our planet.
After all, my buddy and I are only given the one planet.
My friend and I had better take nice care of it, but otherwise, my buddy and I will be left with nothing. That is why I am truly self conscious about the trash that I produce. I buy food from the farmers market as much as I can, I use reusable grocery bags, my babies all used cloth diapers, plus I try not to buy anything plastic (especially if it is disposable). Only recently did I discover that I have a option when it comes to my Heating plus A/C air filter. I have been buying disposable air filters for as long as I can remember. The disposable air filters are made of cardboard plus metal, mostly. However, they do come with plastic wrapping. They are also pretty indestructible so there might be some fiberglass or something in the fitler part too. Honestly, I don’t truly know; But, again, I didn’t see that I had any choice. I would use my air filters for as long as possible… When I needed new ones I would buy a immense package of them so that there would be less plastic wrapping. But I don’t feel like that is enough. I am still producing waste. But recently I discovered reusable air filters. They are plastic however you can use them for decades before they have to be recycled, however you just take out the air filter, rinse plus dry it off, then put it back. It is that easy. I truly like that the reusable air filters will help me to not produce any more trash. I have been using mine for 3 months now plus just cleaned it for the first time. I just wish I had found these a lot earlier.
