My parents took me to be with my aunt in summer during the holidays to attend fairs.
We would attend together as a family and even showcase some animals.
My aunt got us snacks like crackjacks with the cheap little prizes inside. Life was so unbelievably worryfree back as little kids. I recall most of the time it would be warm at the fair. We always took the chance to relax in the shade of some of the tents. There were venues where you could observe many farm animals including cows and horses which I loved so much. Some areas even had AC systems so it was also nice to relax in those spots for several minutes. When we were done at those events, my aunt would drive us to the best local eateries. She made sure to go to venues that served ice cream since they always had the best AC systems with the ideal temperature control settings. These made sure the ice cream didn’t melt. I felt awesome getting cold treats after a long and warm morning at the fairgrounds. My aunt would also ask us to order burgers with fries and a shake if she was willing to spend the money. At times she would just ask me to have water because the shakes were kind of high-priced. But it depended on her mood if she was feeling generous or not. Nonetheless, those are thrilled memories that I will never forget. When I get kids, I want to take them to the fairgrounds as well so they can have the same experiences.
