The pride of my life has been this animal rescue shelter that I started up with some friends of mine.
We actually depend a lot on volunteers and people are happy to do this type of work with us.
We are mostly a non-profit organization so we depend a great deal on donations from the community. Well, recently we were able to rescue this baby bear that was sick and separated from his mother. We learned later on that the mother was killed and the baby had nobody else but us. We set up a nice area for the baby bear and we had the ideal temperature control settings for him to be comfortable with our ductless mini split system. We fed him a special diet that consisted of varieties of meats and vegetables. We actually had a volunteer that knew exactly the type of nutrition that was best for bears, and the baby bear was doing remarkably well. We also had to set up a special air purification system so that the air quality would be just right for our bear. We absolutely love the bear because he is so tame and he gets along with everybody very well. We even started doing charity events with our bear as the special guest. The bear gained a lot of attention in our community and we were on the news with him and everything. Ever since we had our baby bear, we have received way more donations for our animal rescue which has been nice. He really is our good luck charm and we’re so happy to have him. Sometime in the future, we plan to let him go back into the wild.
