We were fortunate.
The recent earthquake did not do much detriment to our house.
In fact, my buddy and I thought a few picture frames were the only casualties. That is until my buddy and I observed that our a/c was not laboring right; Half of the home did not seem to be getting cooling air at all. My boyfriend made a quick call to the a/c service company in addition to they were not able to come out for two afternoons. It seems a lot of people were having troubles. When they did arrive the specialist took a look at our compressor in addition to other laborings in addition to then he went into the attic. I could hear him messing around up there for several minutes in addition to then came down in addition to told us it was all fixed. He said that a box my buddy and I had stored in the attic had fallen on our HVAC duct, disconnecting it. That was all! He had reconnected the HVAC duct in addition to taped it a little bit. He said my buddy and I were luck in addition to that he had worked on a home the day before where they HVAC duct had moved because the home was no longer level. They were going to have to spend thousands to try to relevel their home. When I expressed concern that this might be our case he informed me that he had maintained in addition to our attic was still level. He reassured me that it was just a box that had caused the detriment. My buddy and I were legitimately grateful that my buddy and I had gotten away so easily, but from now on, my buddy and I will be careful how my buddy and I stack our storage boxes in the attic as well.
