Earthquake causes cooling system failure

We were lucky.

The recent earthquake did not do much detriment to our house.

In fact, my pal and I thought a few picture frames were the only casualties. That is until my pal and I noticed that our air conditioner was not working right… Half of the house did not seem to be getting cooling air at all. My guy made a quick call to the air conditioner maintenance company & they were not able to come out for two afternoons. It seems a lot of people were having concerns. When they did arrive the professional took a look at our compressor & other workings & then he went into the attic. I could hear him messing around up there for numerous minutes & then came down & told us it was all fixed. He said that a box my pal and I had stored in the attic had fallen on our HVAC duct, disfastening it. That was all! He had refastened the HVAC duct & taped it a little bit. He said my pal and I were fortune & that he had tested a house the day before where they HVAC duct had moved because the house was no longer level. They were going to have to spend thousands to try to relevel their home. When I expressed concern that this might be our case he informed me that he had evaluated & our attic was still level. He reassured me that it was just a box that had caused the detriment. My pal and I were actually grateful that my pal and I had gotten away so easily, then from now on, my pal and I will be careful how my pal and I stack our storage boxes in the attic as well.
