With those grout lines, I have to bring an entire team of people just to work on them, because they are so difficult to remove
If there is one thing I hate about working for a commercial cleaning company, it is not so much the job itself, but some of the stains I have to clean up. Some people just completely dye their carpet a different color with the multitudes of stains all over, and while it is definitely gross cleaning up all of their mess, it also gives a great sense of satisfaction afterwards when their floor is nice and clean. However, if there is one thing I hate more than anything, it’s working on grout lines. Since my floor cleaning business does offer tile floor cleaning service, I get to work on them far too often. The thing I hate about them is that dirt gets shoved deep into the grout, and then it accumulates and eventually gets locked in the grout. Once it is sealed in there, it is insanely hard to get out, and even the best machines struggle to remove those stains. Now take that and then take people who maybe have their floors cleaned once every 30 years, and you get an ugly situation. At least with floor stripping and waxing, or commercial carpet cleaning, you can usually be done in a day or so. With those grout lines, I have to bring an entire team of people just to work on them, because they are so difficult to remove. Even when all of us work on it as a team, there are usually still patches of dark stained spots that just don’t come out, and then the customer ends up complaining because they expected us to just work magic with their floors. At that point, we recommend coloring your grout lines, but most of our customers aren’t satisfied with that option, and somehow want all of the stains to magically disappear.
