Gym not just for weight lifting anymore

When I was younger, I had my sights set on being a big, muscled guy.

That was sort of the thing back then. That’s when Arnold was doing the movies and being a huge guy was the rage. In an effort to get all jacked like that, I joined a gym. But I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. And that local gym was basically just a myriad of weight lifting and machines that were about weight lifting. This was well before there was even a hint of the internet so it wasn’t like I could go online to find instruction. What I did instead was try to copy what I saw at the gym. However, I just didn’t have either the body type or the commitment to getting all muscled up. Eventually, that gym membership lapsed and I never went back. Fast forward almost 3 decades and I have gym membership again. This time though, it’s about far more than just weight lifting. While there is some weight lifting in my workout program, there is just so much more to my wellness and fitness these day. And I love that about the health and fitness center. My workout program is so varied that it keeps me interested and my body a bit off guard. The certified fitness experts tell me that’s exactly what I want to happen. All I know is that it’s been nearly a year and I am going back to the gym every single week. This gym membership is getting used and the results have been so great that I can hardly believe it.
