I had a run in with a tenant last year and just got another notice in the mail about her trying to sue me.
I had to boot her daughter out of here after three weeks because she was destroying the flat.
It turned into a big hassle with the courts and a year later we are still duking it out. It’s frivolous though as she is trying to sue me for a mere $500. I don’t even know if the courts would have a hearing for that amount. I tried to pay her but she wants to fight. My HVAC worker friend told me to ignore the letters and let her try but I don’t want to go that route. I just need to go through the motions and get it over with so that I don’t have to think about it anymore. I got a lawyer, who runs a local business near me, and he is going to represent me if it goes to court. It just seems so ridiculous that she wouldn’t take the money I offered her to be done with it. Anyway, later today I am going to work at the cooling supplier’s shop for a few hours and then go to the beach this evening to decompress and relax. We are playing ball today and then some music so that should help lift my mood. I will clean my HEPA filter now and then go get some good fruit and veggies at the local business and have some lunch. My HVAC tech buddy is coming for lunch soon so I better run.
