I made so many mistakes when I started training as an Heating, Ventilation, & A/C tech

She said that the enforced side of the air filter had to be facing the inner section of the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C unit so that it would not be sucked into the main fan.

When I went to school to become an Heating, Ventilation, & A/C professional, I did surprisingly well. I thought it would be more challenging for me, but it was admittedly more challenging when I got to the hands on training. When I first started at the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C business I work for, I made a lot of crucial mistakes; Fortunately, I had a really great trainer who was patient & made sure to cover everything I was doing to make sure I wasn’t messing anything up. On my first day going out into the field, she gave me a easy task of swapping out an air filter. I can’t tell you how embarrassed I was when I put the air filter in backwards. This gave him the chance to go over an important lesson though, then she spoke to me about why it’s important to make sure the air filter goes into the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C unit the official way. She said that the enforced side of the air filter had to be facing the inner section of the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C unit so that it would not be sucked into the main fan. If the air filter were to be put in backwards & it was pulled through, it could cause a great deal of damage to the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C unit. I felt enjoy I should have already known this but it’s genuinely something that I would never forget. I have made plenty of mistakes, but my trainer assured me that it was normal to make a lot of mistakes when you first beginning in this line of work. That made me recognize better, & these afternoons I really do alright for myself as an Heating, Ventilation, & A/C professional.
