I think the renters took the space heater home

I realized that one of the space heaters was missing.

When my mom and dad passed away, they left me a small cabin by the lake. The cabin has one bedroom, a living room, and a kitchen. The cabin doesn’t have central heat, but there is a window air conditioner in the building. I was going to sell the property, but I decided to keep the space as a rental unit. I didn’t have any problem renting the cabin during the spring, summer, and fall months, but it was difficult to rent the cabin during winter without central heat. I purchased several different space heaters to place in the cabin. I can easily rent the cabin as long as I don’t charge a heap of money for the rental fees. A couple of weeks ago, a couple of young folks rented the cabin for a week. I knew they weren’t the typical renters that I would hope for, but they paid the security deposit and the rental fees on time. After the renters left, I went to the cabin to clean and ready the place for the next people. I realized that one of the space heaters was missing. I searched all over the cabin and even outside, but I could not locate the space heater anywhere. I could charge the attendance for the space heater, but I only paid $40 for the equipment. I’m not sure why they decided to take one of my space heaters home, but I’m not going to make a big deal about a $40 heater. If they needed one that badly, I’m glad they took it.
