I tried to fix the furnace, but I wasn't successful

I didn’t want to spend the extra money and I was really tired

When I came home from work Tuesday afternoon, I didn’t expect the house to feel cold and frozen. When I left for work that morning, I set the temperature on the thermostat to 73 degrees. I knew it would be nearly dark before I got home from work and I wanted to come home to a warm and cozy atmosphere. When I walked through the door, I didn’t feel anything warm and cozy. All of the power was out inside the house and the furnace wasn’t running. I managed to get the power back on. The breaker in the garage was tripped. I figured that would fix the furnace, but it did not. I tried a couple of different troubleshooting tips that I found online. I didn’t have a flame in the pilot light area, but I couldn’t get it to light. I tried five or six times before I gave up and finally called a professional heating company. It was almost 7pm by that time and they were only taking emergency calls. Since it wasn’t going to be lower than 32 degrees overnight, they were going to charge me for an after hours call. I could wait until the next day and I would be the first appointment in the morning. I didn’t want to spend the extra money and I was really tired. I decided to wait until the morning. I called my boss and told him the bad news about the furnace. I told the guy that I needed the next morning off, because I wanted to be there when the furnace repair service arrived
