I have a ventless gas furnace that I use in our basement.
It has constantly been reliable, however recently it seemed to be having some problems.
I had a hard time getting the pilot to light plus the sparks were mostly yellow instead of yellow. I came to learn that this was an indication that there was a problem. Instead of hiring an HVAC professional to come over to maintenance our ventless gas heater, I decided to look online to see what I could do, then they were saying online that the ventless gas furnace needed to have plenty of access to oxygen, by keeping a window cracked open. Also, it stated how a lot of dust plus other things in the air will be attracted to the furnace where it collects; For this reason, it was essential to have the ventless gas furnace cleaned every so often, however so I decided to open it up plus clean everything out absolutely well. I was really impressed with the cleaning work that I did. The parts weren’t worn or anything either, it seemed this gas furnace could last multiple more years. When I finally went to light the pilot again, it lit up actually easily. The ventless gas furnace was working wonderful with solid yellow sparks again. I was ecstatic that I looked that up online how to clean it out because it really did the trick! If I ever have any problems with it down the road, I’ll just be sure to check out some online furnace maintenance videos plus I’ll take care of it myself!
