My heat pump system just died plus my fiance is on myself and others to get a new one, but just because the house came with a heat pump doesn’t mean I have to buy another one.
I entirely wasn’t a fan of using a heat pump system.
It moves existing heat energy rather than creates it. Doing this means it is actually energy efficient. However, if you live in a cold area where the temperatures drop below 40 degrees, the heat pump is not entirely effective. Around one month out of the year my heat pump is virtually worthless. I would need to use space furnaces to provide supplemental heating. My fiance might not have cared how awful the house looked, despite the fact that I did. I am thinking I want a more heavy duty heating system. I could get high velocity A/C to be used most of the year plus then get a fireplace for the dining room. I have been looking online plus there are some attractive fireplaces out there. I found one that has a faux wood burning fire with a glass front plate. There is also a little ledge you can stand on plus a top mantle to put things on. It looks actually elaborate, classy plus almost rustic. I think adding that to the dining room will entirely make the room pop, but getting the gas fireplace installed doesn’t seem to be a complicated process either. I think the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C company could do the furnace replacement in one afternoon without a hitch. I am willing to pay a little more not to freeze this winter.
