Pet dander creates problems with heating and cooling equipment

I never intended to have a bunch of pets.

Due to rescuing animals in need, I’ve ended up with two large dogs, three cats and a rabbit. While I certainly love my animals and am unwilling to give them up, they create some problems. I spend quite a bit of money on food and vet bills. I devote a lot of time to caring for them and cleaning up after them. I don’t want my home to smell like a pet store. I refuse to have a bunch of fur and dander all over my floors, furniture and clothes. Because of this, I constantly vacuum, dust and scrub surfaces. I also need to replace the air filters in the furnace and air conditioner more frequently. I’ve found that the filters become clogged very quickly. If I neglect them, the dander will find its way inside the inner workings of the heating and cooling equipment, restrict airflow and lead to all sorts of issues. The system will run longer, use more energy and wear out faster. I’ll pay higher energy bills and yet suffer with diminished comfort and air quality concerns. To help keep my home clean, healthy and smelling nice, I’ve also invested in an in-duct air purifier. The purifier cleans the air as it passes through the duct system, trapping airborne contaminants, killing microorganisms and handling unpleasant odors. The air purifier targets dust, mold spores, dander, bacteria, pollen, viruses, VOCs and much more. It gives me confidence in the air I breathe and helps protect the efficient operation of the furnace and air conditioner.
