Our daughter has been dancing for most of her life.
From the time she was a little girl, she loved ballet, tap and jazz. She has always been extremely flexible, and has a natural dancer’s physique. When other kids played sports, she was taking dance lessons. She majored in dance in college, and although she didn’t graduate, she moved to New York City to pursue her dream. She gained a lot of experience there and learned from the best. She even was a background dancer for a smaller version of Cirque du Soleil. Now that she’s thirty, she’s decided that she’d like to open her own dance studio. We found a great facility for her to rent, and with just a little bit of paint, the place would be ready in no time. The grand opening date had been selected and the flyers printed when the heating and cooling system started to turn off without warning. The landlord gave us a number to call for an HVAC serviceman and told us to take the cost of repair out of the rent. Once the technician arrived, he started checking the furnace, ductwork, and electrical connections. Within an hour, he reported back to us that there was nothing wrong with the furnace itself. He did recommend, however, a thorough cleaning of the entire network of air ducts. As far as the system starting and stopping, the cause was the thermostat. Since he had visited the facility in the past, he was familiar with the HVAC set-up and knew that it had been several years since the thermostat had been replaced. Once we selected the model we wanted, he had it installed in no time. Thankfully, the repair was minor and the service charge was reasonable.
