The Heat Was Suffocating in The Restaurant

There was a new diner that opened up in my neighborhood square that I had been dying to try! I saw signs announcing the grand opening for a month before the opening, and once they finally opened their doors, there was always a line wrapped around the building, however anyone I talked to said that the food was phenomenal and they told me that I needed to try it myself. After waiting for what felt like forever, I finally made the decision to eat dinner at the diner, but they weren’t taking reservations, so I waited in line for over an hour. When my name was finally called, I was shown to my table! Before I could even order my water, I began to sweat. I took my jacket off instantly and tried to cool down. After a few minutes, I realized that I wasn’t the only one who was feeling warm. There were people all over the diners fanning themselves with menus and a few of them were easily covered in sweat. The air in the diner felt suffocating and the only way I could cool down was to step outside for fresh air. I asked the waiter if there was anything they could do to lower the temperature, however she said they were stuck. The Heating and Air Conditioning system wasn’t laboring and they had more than 2 Heating and Air Conditioning servicemans laboring on it as my pal and I were speaking. I appreciated her honesty and the fact that they were being proactive about the heat, although I was disappointed with my experience. I’m reluctant to go back again.
