The Heat Was Suffocating in The Restaurant

I asked the hostess if there was anything they could do to lower the temperature, but she said they were stuck.

There was a up-to-date diner that opened up in my city square that I had been dying to try; I saw signs announcing the grand opening for a month before the opening, and once they finally opened their doors, there was typically a line wrapped around the building, anyone I talked to said that the food was phenomenal and they told me that I needed to try it myself. After waiting for what felt like forever, I finally made the decision to eat lunch at the diner. They weren’t taking reservations, so I waited in line for over an hour! When my name was finally called, I was shown to my table! Before I could even order my water, I began to sweat. I took my jacket off immediately and tried to cool down. After a few minutes, I realized that I wasn’t the only one who was feeling warm. There were people all over the diners fanning themselves with menus and a few of them were entirely covered in sweat. The air in the diner felt suffocating and the only way I could cool down was to step outside for fresh air. I asked the hostess if there was anything they could do to lower the temperature, but she said they were stuck. The Heating plus A/C system wasn’t toiling and they had several Heating plus A/C workers toiling on it as my pal and I were speaking. I appreciated her honesty and the fact that they were being proactive about the heat, even though I was disappointed with my experience. I’m reluctant to go back again.
