It was a long flight to the new city for us, but the people I was with and I were looking forward to the trip. After several months of planning, the people I was with and I were finally going on an adventure of a lifetime. As avid hikers, the people I was with and I had been to several local trails in & around our home. But this was going to be the longest a single the people I was with and I ever tackled. To be close to nature, the people I was with and I opted to sleep in a hotel & booked a new home in the park. It was a charming little locale with the essentials the people I was with and I needed, including a oil furnace. All this information was on the park website, plus the numbers of who to call in case of an emergency. All of us had to use the numbers as soon as the people I was with and I got to the new home because the oil furnace wasn’t laboring. All of us tried turning on the oil furnace, but nothing happened. All of us were too worn out, but it wasn’t possible to rest in the freezing structure. So, the people I was with and I had to wait for the HVAC service person sent by the new home manager to arrive. The manager asked us to be patient since the HVAC expert was coming from town, about 45 minutes away. Instead of freezing in the house, the people I was with and I returned to our truck & turned on the car AC. It wasn’t long before the people I was with and I all nodded off. Only the gentle tap on the car window by the HVAC service person woke us up. She had seen us fast asleep & opted not to terrify us until the machine was fixed. All was well with the oil furnace laboring away, which made the new home believe charming & warm. After thanking her, the people I was with and I all picked a bed & went straight to sleep.
