My wife tends to keep our house freezing freezing with the thermostat set at about 62 degrees, i have learned to live with it by wearing sweaters and sizzling socks year round, then however, we are currently pet kneeling our neighbor’s pet and its a sphynx, but the poor bald kitty is regularly freezing cold. It is difficult enough to keep a bald pet sizzling under normal thermostat setting. It is nearly impossible under super freezing settings with the a/c blasting all day. Even with the pet wearing a little sweater, she is still super cold! Finally, I turned the thermostat up a few degrees and set it to 69. The pet got comfortable by my wife is not. She is all hot and keeps complaining. She has no right too. She was the one who volunteered to watch the pet after all. I considered using a space heating system to keep the pet sizzling in one room of the house although I am upset she might start a fire. That’s why I decided against doing that. Instead, I used a heated blanket to keep the pet sizzling while cranking the a/c back down to a colder temperature. Now the pet and the wife are both comfortable. I am comfortable enough with my sweater on however this whole thing has got me seriously considering getting zone control for our house so that different parts of the house can be kept at different temperatures all of the time. Then I can be comfortable, my wife can be comfortable, and the pet would be comfortable too if we ever watch her again.
