My fiance tends to keep our house freezing cold with the temperature control set at about 62 degrees, and i have learned to live with it by wearing sweaters plus warm socks year round, however, my pal and I are currently pet standing our neighbor’s animal plus its a sphynx, the awful bald kitty is constantly freezing cold.
It is difficult enough to keep a bald animal warm under normal temperature control setting.
It is nearly impossible under super cold settings with the cooling system blasting all day; Even with the animal wearing a little sweater, he is still super cold! Finally, I turned the temperature control up a few degrees plus set it to 68. The animal got comfortable by my fiance is not. He is all covered in sweat plus keeps complaining. He has no right too. He was the one who volunteered to watch the animal after all. I considered using a space furnace to keep the animal warm in one room of the house but I am upset he might start a fire. That’s why I decided against doing that. Instead, I used a heated blanket to keep the animal warm while cranking the cooling system back down to a colder temperature, but now the animal plus the fiance are both comfortable. I am comfortable enough with my sweater on but this whole thing has got me seriously considering getting zone control for our house so that weird parts of the house can be kept at weird temperatures all of the time. Then I can be comfortable, my fiance can be comfortable, plus the animal would be comfortable too if my pal and I ever watch his again.
