Working in Restaurant Kitchen

Have you ever thought about going to culinary school? It seems like a lot of people are all fired up about becoming chefs these mornings, although I have no system why anyone would ever want to labor in a restaurant kitchen… When I was younger, I worked in a restaurant, plus let myself and others tell you, it was a irritated experience, then just about everyone was expected to labor every holiday! Most restaurants are open for Thanksgiving dinner, Christmas dinner, plus absolutely for New Year’s Eve plus New Year’s Day, and also, you have to labor entirely late into the night.

MOst restaurants don’t stop serving until 9:00 pm or even later.

Worst of all, though, is toiling in the restaurant kitchen because it is miserably hot. Of course, the restaurants have A/C, but all of that air conditioning is mostly focused on the front of the house, but there is A/C in the kitchen, but really, n o A/C in the world is strong enough to keep the thermostat reading low enough to be comfortable. There are many burners going consistently. There are no ceiling fans or fans of any kind, allowed… Being in the kitchen is like being in a gas furnace, plus I used to have to drink about a gallon of water just to keep from passing out! I have heard that some of the entirely high-end restaurants have Heating plus Air Conditioning with zone control so they can set the A/C thermostat lower in the kitchen without chilly out the guests, although I never worked somewhere that had good A/C like that.
